At 47 years old, I've just had my first taste of hummus and it was absolutely delish! This was a bought one from Asda, but Yup, gonna make my own from now on. No bells and whistles, just with a wholemeal pitta working out at 200cals. . Nom nom nom...xx

Could eat it all day too.

Lower cal still use lettuce leaves as a wrap, romaine is nice and crunchy. Then you can get adventurous with it by using lime juice instead of lemon, adding roast peppers, roast onions, beetroot, roast carrots etc

I also only recently discovered the taste sensation of hummus (47 too). I have to admit the caramelised onion variety knocks it out of the park on flavour! I have rice cakes with it on and it's soooooo nice.

Good luck with your home made versions. I've never tried homemade but I'm sure it's amaze balls. I'm not too adventurous in the kitchen.
