Start of a change!

Recently a friend showed me this video on YouTube about sugar addiction and what it really does to your body! I would really recommend you giving the video a watch!

m.youtube.com/watch?v=VfsTg...

After watching the video I was shocked into trying cut out all the added sugars in my diet and to try and eat more healthy!

My diet now consists of:

Breakfast

Porridge (cooked on the hob without any use of oils) with natural honey (from a local farmers market to ensure no added sugar like most processed honey)

30min Break at work

2 x tubs of Vegetables (spinach, runner beans, cucumber, curly kale)

2 x tubs of nuts (pistachio, mixed bad of nuts which includes almonds, pecans, Brazil nuts and walnuts)

1 x fruit (banana, apple, mango or blueberries)

2 x squares of 100% cocoa chocolate

I have 2 lots of 30min breaks at work so the above is repeated apart from the chocolate.

Dinner

Meat (Salmon or chicken)

Carbs (brown rice or brown pasta)

Half a plate of vegetables (curly kale, spinach and runner beans)

I only drink water all the time so no tea or coffee, fruit drinks or fizzy drinks!

Please can you add any things you would recommend me adding into my diet as I am constantly looking to improve and also add more vegetables! When I was younger I was never keen on vegetables but I am trying my best to enjoy them and explore new ones.

It seems pretty healthy to me :)

Maybe add more beans and lentils. You could have these as well or instead of the meat (i don't eat meat myself, but i realize that lots of people do)

Perhaps try adding some different coloured vegetables, possibly some hard boiled eggs?
