Hi Im New Here

i have terrible eating habits and one of the worst is i comfort eat.

Me and The other Half argue allot and i suffer terrible PMT.

The result - when i angry = i eat junk, when i'm upset = to cheer myself up i eat junk, when i'm tired (usually from the junk food i've eaten) = i eat junk, when i happy = you guessed it i eat junk.

i don't really enjoy cooking and convenience food is well just that too convenient!

i want to change my mindset and loose weight but just cant seem to find the motivation.

i'm definitely a 'ill be good from tomorrow' kinda Girl but Tomorrow never comes.

feeling really down and would love some tips.

thanks.

I'm sorry you and your partner argue a lot, that's not healthy in the first place. PMT is just awful, until I had a hysterectomy I used to become an emotional wreck and ate every bad thing I could lay my hands on. Please see your doctor to discuss how you could alleviate your symptoms, there are herbal methods too. Do you argue just when you are with PMT? Or all the times? Does your partner criticise your weight? Sometimes we can eat more when that happens. I know it's easy for me to say but try eat whole foods and go easy on the sugar and salt. Also if your partner isn't supportive then find one who is. That's what I did! Take care xxx

Leave healthy snacks in clear sight and buy items that are good for you!

You're going to lack motivation to eat properly & be healthy whilst you're poisoning yourself.

I have nuts, seeds, & fruit on my kitchen table, next to my kefir jar. I eat >70% cocoa dark chocolate every day. Try taking magnesium at bedtime, if you have sugar cravings. Also make sure your nutrient levels are good. Craving foods can be a sign you're deficient in something.

You mention convenience food. Mother Nature makes a lot of it! Fruits and veggies are very handy and can be eaten without cooking first. I like to chop up veggies and put them in sandwich bags for a quick grab and go snack. Can be dipped in hummus. Apples and bananas are good with a little peanut butter. 🍌🍎🍊🍇

Echo what others have said above about healthy snacks, and as a corollary: don't buy any junk food when you do the shopping. If you do the weekly shop when you are not angry, just don't put any junk in your trolley. What you haven't bought you can't eat, however angry you get.
