Hello
You will get an official welcome soon but in the meantime have a read of the newbies post and check out the links 😊 Good news is losing weight is much more about eating than exercise, more good news is your fitness will improve as you lose weight 😊 And it doesn't have to be massive amounts, 5 or 10% loss makes a significant difference 😊
Good luck and best wishes 😊
Hi. I am 61 and currently i cant walk as i have broken my foot! Usually i can but i hsbe had a few medical issues ivr the last five years whivh have prevented me being as avtive as i would like. I have been overweight off and on all my life and have tried all kinds of diets , mostly low fat ones but i am always hungry a few hrs after eating. The only way i can stop this is by hbing protein and cutting the main 5 carbs, cereal, bread, rice, pasta and pots. You would be surprised the substitutes you can have. I sugguest you Google google.co.uk/search?q=dr+mo...
There is also a facebook page with tips and support and folk in the same boat as you who have lost a lit of weight without exercise. Even if you dont follow it to the letter, base your foods around it and it will have some effect. You have nothing to lose but the weght! Good luck!
Hi, forgive me if I'm wrong but your name would suggest you're based in, or close to Bristol, if you are, are you aware of the Active Choices exercise scheme, it's the GP referral scheme for 12 weeks exercise, you say you're not able to walk, if then you use a wheelchair that shouldn't be an issue for VERY gentle exercise, (at the gym I use one of the instructors is a wheelchair user,) good luck x
there are many exercises that you can do from sitting on a chair. go to utube and type in chair exercise;s, this will also make you feel so much better to as doing exercise releases hormones and i feel so much better doing exercise, even just sitting in your chair lifiting your feet and swinging your arms is just like walking and it does get you out of breath if you do it for a while. its about feeling good as well as loosing weight as i dont feel to good then i can want to eat. so its about more than weight loss. you look happy in your photograph, love grace xoxoxo
