I am a (mostly) lone Mum in Central London, 56 yrs old living with debilitating Osteo arthritis, Bad Asthma, Bipolar 2 and Fibromyalgia...quite a health burden. I have an MSc in Social Policy & Planning from the LSE but that has not helped me lose weight!!!
My daughter is 9 and growing up healthily and happily..beginning to get overweight for the first time in her life...
I am not sure what else to say right now apart from I have already lost 2kgs since being with U guys, (a fortnight) THANK U
Well done you for losing 2K. Don't mentionthe weightto your daughter butencourage healthy eating, Ihave seen anorexia with terribl e consequences and it starts oftenwiht innocent remarks about being overweight- but I am sure you know all this! Good luckto you.
My goodness,,that's a lot to deal with. I have many of the same things- fibro, bipolar depression, I'm 60' I have moderate asthma, and weight problems. I'm glad you have had some success with weight loss. That's encouraging and bravo to you.
I joined Weight Watchers in the US, but they have it there also. You can either go to weekly meetings or join online, more expensive to some degree. I have lost 20 pounds in about 12 weeks. The diet is not too hard to follow and as you said your daughter was starting to have a weight problem, she would benefit from a change in diet too. It's an option anyway. Good luck, andrea4millie, Nesie 237
