Try no carbs and exercise! I lost 50 lbs that way! I do not eat any white (bread, rice, ect.) After you lose desired amount, add in fruits and whole grains. You must maintain exercise!! You can do it! THE FIRST STEP IS DECIDING TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE!
Exercise is great if you can, unfortunately it is quite difficult for many of us AF'ers because we get short of breath very easily, partly due to the meds and partly due to the condition.
I also have an autoimmune condition which drastically limits the amount and the type of exercise I can do, which is basically swimming or non aerobic so I have to stick to Pilates and strengthening and even that depends on the day. Today I managed to walk .5 kilometre, I was then exhausted, and it doesn't get better the more I do, it gets worse.
Agree with no white carbs or processed foods, they are the worst but I don't believe in cutting out all carbs so I do take seeds & whole grains but ensure it is not more than a very small helping for not more than once a day,
*Waving back* hi Mumknowsbest! Yes, I'm trying the sensible thing and increasing exercise. Fingers crossed!

Finding exercise you enjoy is the key and can continue to do. It has to be I water for me at present otherwise I get too hot and the. Get a flare up.
I like swimming... must find time to go to the pool. One of my knees is arthritic and it lets me know if I've been walking too much!
