I have decided to stay off social web sites for awhile. I needed a reminder that most people post what they’d like us to think their lives are like...always happy and wonderful. We then compare ours (often subconsciously) and feel bad about our own lives. Last night I watched a documentary about how five women survived the holocaust and it made me realize how wonderful my life is. If they could find ways to cope imprisonment in Auschwitz I can certainly cope with my stresses.
I’ve accepted that real life has suffering, but I am looking for the light peaking through the darkness. I’m making lists of the positives and things of which I am grateful. It’s helping.

Yes, I try to remember and journal my blessings during the day
I also think social media is just a breeding ground for unhappy people who just want to make others like them... not very positive. Plus most of the time..those people have very good lives and don't appreciate what they have.Betcha they couldn't walk a day in our shoes, lol I think ur list is a great idea Its about whatever makes "You" happy and not losing ur "You"
I don’t use social media. A friend who is on Facebook warned me that looking at what others do can be somewhat of a drag when my life isn’t full of activity. Another friend shared how addictive it can be. I made a page but haven’t touched it in 5 years. I’m glad because all of the problems they have been having with fake accounts, censorship, and political promotions are way beyond my mental aptitude. I saw it as a vortex which could consume my limited mental energy. If I were to write anything it would be soooo dull and boring which tells me my instincts are correct. Or perhaps I should write!
💐Cut the rose bushes yesterday and found a cool snail the size of my pinkie’s nail.
🤢Almost threw up after I found a rotten potato that fell behind the bed.
💩Stepped in dog poo and tracked it inside the house. Yuck!
👚Washed and dried my clothes yesterday and destroyed my favorite shirt.
