Thanks for making me smile. 👍😊
Haha you're so welcome!!! it's so right on lol
It's really funny and true at the same time. I find that sense of humor makes things easier to deal with. I haven't shown that on here but I like to laugh
I got the cartoon no 4 situation last week. In a coffee shop and 15 of the staff plus their family members were so very loud.
I like unexpected guests but I hate it when I am having a comfy day and then someone shows up and I need to change really quick and look if I have anything to serve lol.
The phone ring is a trigger for me. I don't really remember why, can only speculate. I changed the melody often and now I have very upbeat and cheerful one that I like very much. That helps.
I'm one of those people who never answers their phone if I don't recognize the number because it's sheer terror for me... and I miss so many important phone calls it's ridiculous.
Nothing personal but i take offense at these jokes! I dont mean to hurt anyone or discourage sending them.....i know its me and with a husband who keeps them up i really do need to learn how to deal with it! Any ideas??????
I think it's important that you raised it, positiveandcalm.
I think it's all very individual how we react to things. There is no right or wrong way. Everything we feel has a reason.
For me, having a distance to myself and laughing when I do something silly, helps to lighten up my mood and helps me feel less heavy, like it's not a big deal.
But I do understand that it is different for you. I think it's also different when we laugh about ourselves but it can be painful when someone else does. It depends with what intention it is being said. If the intention of the person is not to hurt but try to lighten up, then it's different from when someone purposefully tries to use bad jokes in a sarcastic way to sting someone. If you feel your husband is being offensive, maybe you could try to explain that it hurts you when he tells those jokes. Maybe he doesn't know what effect they have on you and if you tell him he will understand...
Just an idea...
