I finished reading it yesterday. I was a little disappointed that she didn't really cover therapy or types of things to do other than food. I have been Paleo for more than two years and I have a fantastic functional Doctor that guides me with supplements. I also have a great therapist now but I am still having attacks. Some worse than others. I want to be hopeful that PTSD will not be my life forever. Paleo has helped my disease from progressing which is a plus. I have ms.

Hi.. My brother has MS too.

I had done lots of research for him & a few of the things I came across repeatedly to help control symptoms / slow progression were vitamin D , tumeric , omega 3 fats , alpha lipoic acid, to name a few that you may be familiar with.

I am not too well versed on Paleo.  Nuts, lean meats? High healthy fat intake?

What is the view on eggs? Fermented foods such as kiefer , kimchi, suerkraut?

Flare ups could be a result of hormone imbalance or nutrient deficiency (iron, magnesium) .

Maybe supplements such as

L theanine & melatonin may help.

Lots of our 'neurotransmitters ' are based on proteins. The building blocks of which of which we may have to supplement.

I am familiar with the suggestions and take them all. Paleo has been the best for my disease (MS) but I am still struggling with PTSD and its friends anxiety and depression. Paleo is basically clean eating. High good fat, quality meats, vegetables, fruits. No gluten, no dairy, no processed sugars and for some no eggs. Yes on fermented foods. My favorite book for learning was the wahls protocol
