Hi all, a month till i reach my 21 and nearly 2 years since my tbi
I really lost the plot on monday night and ended up in the cells for a fue hours
Right now, im still really annoyed with the whole situation.. So yea ive got the headway booklets ect.. Just wanted to know if anyone is has been like a manic or loopy like i cant remenber the names of it. if anyone can help?
Can you explain what you mean by 'lost the plot'.......was it some kind of manic episode that got you into trouble ?
I was throwing my self throw a glass panel so i could get to my sisters boyfriend who my sister caught with my ex (her boyfiend and my ex) she said he was packing his bags but is still their 3 days later, why i was angry was because it was my sister not because it was my ex and its not the first time hes cheated on her.. I was really aggressive it was probably the worst ive got but been in simiar states
for me the aggression has never gone away, but having years and years of therapy has helped me learn coping and distraction methods, i still get very angry but i tend to bottle it up rather than blow a fuse.
i actively avoid situations which could make me angry the cognitive behavioural therapy helped the most, but i have dysfunctional ways of coping too, i have found for me its finding the least destructive path, but inside that rage is always there waiting for the spark to ignite it.
So Andrew,....you're a bit of a loose cannon are you......throwing yourself through a glass panel ?......getting into similar states ? I can appreciate that you were upset but don't put yourself in danger when really, most times, these sort of situations resolve themselves. It's often really hard to just walk away but I believe that 'what goes around comes around' and ,if you wait for a while, people who behave shabbily often come unstuck and get their come-uppance and you keep your dignity......Anyway, isn't throwing yourself through glass likely to cause another head injury? Seriously, you might want to consider an anger management course to avoid future problems. I know people who've attended them and, apparently, they're not at all judgemental and pretty interesting.
