There are, Hyoscine hydrobromide patches I think thats what its called, but aware it doesnt agree with everyone. Maybe monitor how you are with food, fluids and speech how excessive saliva impacts be good record to put to GP for speech and language therapist for swallowing assessment.

All the best.

Over salivation can be due to medication, or just due to the injury you have. Hyocine Hydrochloride sounds like a big scary name, but this is more commonly known as Joy Ride, given to people that experience travel sickness.

I wouldn't recommend self medicating even though these are available over the counter. You ideally need an ear, nose, and throat specialist to look into the cause, as many treatments can if not prescribed for the right cause can form stones in the salivary ducts. Be assured, there is always a way of managing the symptoms, but to solve the cause is preferable. So back to the GP and ask for a referral to an ENT specialist.

Good luck 🍀

No idea if its similar but at very set times in the day (around meal times), I seem to generate a noticeable amount of saliva. Almost an alarm clock that says “eat”. I never used to have this and could go long times without food when working if necessary. Never been overweight and my weight is still very stable. So I just ‘manage’ it. Certainly the need for regular food and a drink at set times is now a definite requirement. So in your case, does eating something make a difference?
