Subdural haematoma

Hi everyone,

6 weeks ago my dad (71 yrs) had burr hole surgery for a Chronic subdural haematoma. He was discharged from hospital three days later as he appeared fine and was recovering well. However since his discharge he is always extremley tired and is dropping things all the time. The tiredness I believe is normal but I’m worried about the fact he is dropping stuff all the time. Before the surgery he was very fit and ran about four times a week and now is very down as he feels incapable of doing this.

Can anyone else relate to these issues and do they get better?

How long has everyone’s recovery been?

Thanks in advance,

Karen

Thanks so much for reply. I will definitely encourage my dad to run again. I’m glad you are able to continue running as I think it works wonders both mentally and physically. 😊
