Is this true as I need insurance for a week in March?

Hi Spideyman,
Excuse me for asking....
Judging by the look of your picture, I am wondering if you are travelling to a nudist camp by any chance?
That was an art project I took part in for Hull City Of Culture. I was born in Hull.
About 3,000 took part and I was totally naked and painted a shade of blue to resemble the sea.
Google "Sea of Hull"
Thanks for the link.... I had a peep. Very interesting. Spencer Tunick certainly knows how to organise large photo projects.
Hope you have an enjoyable holiday.
I just take normal travel insurance; when I declared my arthritic hip it cost me £70 more.
Very funny *I forgot* to mention the neurosurgery and that I am epileptic.
Trouble is, if you don't declare anything, your whole insurance can be invalid....and can't even claim for a broken arm say...or even a lost suitcase!!
I've no intention of feathering the insurance companies nest with even more cash because I had a craniotomy in 1967 and I have suffered petit mal for 50 years. Those next to me don't even know when I have an event.
I walk with a limp, I legally carry a Class C Drug to counter the pain and I get charged 70 quid for stating that I'm arthritic?
You can doubtless see how fair I've been treated.
Those thieving, scheming bastards would stop a pay out because you had a shave before you left home if they could.
I share your sentiments - but equally why pay for anything that wouldn't ever pay out should they look at your medical records ( they could well do if it were a medical claim) ... that's a waste of money too....
I think ( don't know) that there is a time limit on some conditions so you may be insured without penalty.
Personally I wouldn't go on my trips without proper insurance that would cover me to get home in any medical emergency - which means I have to declare my stroke in 2014. Hasn't been cost prohibitive - so far .
Hi Spidey, when I looked at the headway site they just suggested travel insurers, but that was 4 years ago. I use Able2travel, they are good, about the same price as others I got quotes off, I pay around £70 more for a joint policy for myself and hubby, we both have health issues that have to be declared. If you are taking regular medication for anything it has to be declared, whether it is a risk or not, otherwise your policy could be null and void.
Even if you broke your leg, they could refuse to pay out if you were untruthful. Is it worth the risk? I even have to declare antidepressants when I am taking them.
I go back to Able2travel every time now because they keep our details on file and ask if any change in any declared illness, so don't have to start from scratch every time.
May I say that the travel insurance with my bank account was only about £10 dearer than the Able2travel one.
Janet X and bon voyage😀
Hi Spideyman,
Thank you for your post.
We do offer a Headway travel insurance policy - you can find out more on our website at headway.org.uk/about-brain-...
As well as a link to the policy itself, you can download our 'Holidays and travel' factsheet on the page, which includes a list of other providers who can offer cover.
I hope this helps, and please let us know if there's anything else you need.
Best wishes,
Headway
Boots travel insurance have been great for my trips ! ☺
