BRICK WALL

I built up this wall to keep people out. Now all I do is scream & shout. The wall is to high for me to climb over. Somebody bring me a bloody bulldozer....that was me before my BI, then the walls came crashing down & I'm just here x

Rebuild the wall with thicker foundations, it will stand the test of time without further complications.

Hey there Sam, I know it's hard but why do you want to keep people out? Is it because you are scared of what they may think of you, that you feel less than the brave survivor that you are?

I've been horrendous at building walls over years and years - always putting on a smiley face to hide what I was really feeling. I've regretted every bit of it, because some people can be totally amazing, accepting me for who I am and never giving up.

Please feel free to talk to us, there are some great people on here to help support you, give you advice and help you to keep that bulldozer away and feel much better.

Take care and only wish that you were closer to give you a chocolate Easter egg.

I personally think that a wall is self destructive because you can’t see over it, around it, or under it. Your wall is your own self protection. Maybe you have to ask yourself, why you need the wall, or the self protection. We all need protection of some form but its how we enforce it in our own lives. Maybe you could consider your life as a road, straight, but with obstacles, like any road it’s called life. We all have U turns, roundabout, T junction, traffic lights and stops signs. And speed cameras so when we are going too fast we get stopped and have to face the consequences of our actions. Sammy thank God you are alive yes, we all have problems and we all relate to that fact. My brother Tommy has just died, and we as his family are devastated by his loss but you are alive. So with the beginning of spring you are now able to go outside and see all the beautiful of life.

So maybe today on Easter Sunday you can begin by going outside and smiling at the first person you see, or a bird or just life and you will be surprised at people’s reactions, you will realise your part of a wide-world with people who need as we do on headway. Your precious Sammy, so get rid of that self made wall and enjoy life. And take baby steps back into a wonderful world without your wall.God Bless YOU Liz xx
