D.T.B.I. book by GD Porter

Hi everyone,

I wanted to let you know I've written this book which is split between who I am, and what I experienced through my traumatic brain injury in 2014. The book is only available on Kindle and I am only charging 99p. The small amount of money per book is split between Kindle and Headway, I earn no money. The primary motivation was to help other people and families who have experienced TBI's, at the same time I will be able to raise donations for Headway. This method of donations is aside from the Land's End to John o'Groats I'm encountering over 9 days in September.

I trust the book is affordable and if purchased hope it help's make you laugh (at some points) as well as support you.

Alas, I don't"do" kindle. ....

I expect there are plenty that do though, but equally some others like me who since their b I prefer "real paper" ☺

Appreciate your preference. I only got the book out initially yesterday. I am hoping to get a paper book out in due course, but it will undoubtedly cost more than 99p to buy.

Could it come in spoken format at all I wonder ?

Since in the early days many of us b I people have issues with reading?

Might do in the future, as mentioned I'm one day into it at present. I appreciate the BI reading challenge, I experienced it for a couple of years, some prefer Kindle to paper as you can easily control the size of the writing in the book.

I'll keep HealthUnlocked updated with any progress.

I'm finishing gardening jobs but couldn't resist a sneak preview. So I already feel I know you a little better seeing as you live just down the road and were treated in Salford Royal, same as me.

Thanks, apparently you can download it via a Kindle App to an i-pad or i-phone or maybe to an android? Apologies as I'm no expert but I believe they do work. Thank you very much for your interest primarily, I hope you'd enjoy reading it. xx

hey,im thinking of doing the same,but i want it to be about negotiating the various agencies and issues surrounding a sudden incident,as our situation is not resolved and wont be for some time.i would also like it to be avaialable to headway,how do i do this?

Unfortunately, I am not able to give you any specific help in respect of access to Headway. I’d recommend you contact Headway directly to see if they can give you guidance. Good luck with it
