Hi MX, I think you are probably right, those symptoms sound like my worst fatigue days. I'm battling quite a few at the moment as I'm visiting my sister in hospital whilst trying to maintain my usual daily tasks.

Hope it passes soon for you .

Yep feeling a lot better now after a nap but a good nap, 20 minutes. Knocked the stuffing out of me.

HelloMxMan

just sending you good wishes and hoping you are feeling a bit better, awww maybe your not. Bless. Don't bother to reply if that's the case.

I have a similar feeling but it ends, I am afraid, for me, in a blast of anger - then its like the storm has passed.

Hoping you have someone here on the forum who knows what they are talking about to give you the advice you need.

rest up mate.

kind regards

Jules

Thank you jules, pretty sure it was a bad bout of fatigue as I had a good 20 minute nap and felt a lot better. Never had it that quick or that bad before. Have a great evening. Nick

Hope you're feeling better, flower. I had a b*tch of a day yesterday, visual issues, and the nearly-fog, I knew I wasn't fit to be at work, but I was back-to-back in meetings all day, could have KISSED the colleague who said she'd go to my 4pm one. As ludicrous as it sounds, paracetamol take the edge off me enough to be nearly-functional, and that's weird, because it's not 'pain', just inability to function.

My bad day yesterday was a combination of hormonal issues, and the air-pressure changing, air-pressure always kicked my migraines off, and I have the dull-rotten ache in my ankles that says my arthritis season is starting.

If it doesn't lift with rest and plenty of fluids (hot food helps me, but I'm rarely 'safe' to cook.), I'd suggest seeking medical attention. I know that's a kick in the shin, coming from me, but something SO unusual might warrant checking-out, and not just doing what I do, and waiting for it to pass?

It does sound like an attack of mega fatigue Nick. I call them 'Meltdowns' because they hit really hard after overdoing things. I'd been cycling around the York countryside for a few days ; drove 90 miles home on Wednesday, MRI Thursday then rheumatology appt. at different hospital ; loads of washing ; mowed lawn etc., etc.,.................... then BOOM !! :x

Felt like I'd been hit with a baseball bat last night and couldn't even eat I was so exhausted and dizzy. After a night's sleep however, I've been back doing gardening and eating like a hungry horse.

It's par for the course for those of us who don't/can't respect our limitations I'm afraid. Good to hear you're feeling so much better. Take care Nick. :-/ xx

Thank you cat, thats the 2 words I was looking for "Melt Down" I have read about them on here and in other articles and thats what I had this morning. Just the same as you I wasn't hungry today and thats just not like me couldn't eat at all, made up for it now though.

Yes being over doing it and not seeing the signs like I usually do although it hit me real quick this morning and I felt alright at first. Never had it that strong before.

It can be scary though, the first time it happens, so I hope you're feeling a lot more relaxed now Nick. xx

Hi Nick

I'm so glad it seems to have been a meltdown or payback for doing too much.

It sounds like you were very reasonably surprised by it hitting so early in the morning. Just about the last time we expect to get these effects.

Please be aware that feeling much better after a nap doesn't always mean that you have fully recovered from the episode......you may need to pare back your activities for the next few days to be properly back on track.

Have a peaceful and quiet weekend

Love n hugs

I hope you're feeling better today. I'm on a bit of a yoyo of fatigue at the moment. I know I'm trying to do too much, but we are moving house next week so it's unavoidable. One day we might learn how to pace ourselves better, but it's so hard not to do too much on good days. I still don't sleep well which really doesn't help.

Have a great weekend :-)

Thank you Sue, Ill never know how to pace myself as I'm always on the go. When I felt bad yesterday my wife said to me you never stop Nick do you, She's right but usually I see the signs but boom it got me. Have a good evening, Nick Xx

Fatigue is horrible, I hope you're feeling better now. Perhaps this episode was a reminder that you need to pace yourself. It's easier said than done, I'm either in a constant state of boom & bust, or to avoid the bust symptoms I do very little & feel like a useless lazy lump. Sometimes it's hard to win! :-)

Best wishes

CC xx

Yes sign completely recognised and taken in. Naps are the way forward.

Hello

I totally relate to what you're saying. For me, I've learnt better habits and ways to recognise my limits, when I get that feeling that my battery life (or energy levels) is depleting.

Sometimes, I need to take a break from whatever I'm doing, get some fresh air, have a change of scenery or cut somethings short (where possible) to conserve my energy.

I love sport and typically have enjoyed adrenalin fuelled activities, so...I can see why you might want to keep going and going.

I've found logging and monitor my activity and energy levels both interesting and useful to refer to. It might sound dull but could help you figure out what times of day you have more or less energy and you can plan around that.

Best wishes,

May
