This isn't anything to do with brain health but it is to do with general health... My general health that is :).
Some of you are aware that I am a bit under the weather. The illness started out as a coughing fit, tight chest. Then phlegm/mucus started coming up. Now it's coming out my nose. It's official... I have a cold :).
I was told a couple of years ago to stock up on vitamin D so I started taking Centrum every morning.
That was good, I could feel it kind of thin out any virus I caught, I didn't have the whole caboodle and that is good.
Then I heard about Spirulina which is nutrient rich and started taking those, they are even better.
Since this virus sank in, last Thursday, I have felt ok in my general health. I've had the odd thick headed feeling (not sure if that is normal though haha) and I have felt a bit tired after getting up having coughing fits. At times I have felt quite bright eyed and bushy-tailed.
I feel like this cold is on it'd way out now. Sadly I am going to miss my Headway meeting tomorrow. Oh well, it isn't the end of the world is it.
One thing I will add though, my abdominal muscles have had a hell of a workout haha.

Glad you are feeling a bit better Matt. Alot of people have had that bad cough/virus-it takes a while to shift. Just had my sister round-i think i passed it onto her-shes just been the docs with it.
You shift one thing n it leaves u with another.Don't know about u but i prop myself up with that many cushions in the night as I'm still coughing I've got a dodgy neck now -need reconditioning id fail my m.o.t!
At first, every time he tried to take it, he would cough and splatter it all over the mirror. in the end he does a quick cough before putting the spoon in his mouth. Then he checks to see if it works and says "Hello there, Bob Fleming here"..."Bob Fleming here... Laaa" haha.
One of my faves was an episode of Jazz Club where they introduced Jackson Jeffery Jackson.
I have to admit after I remembered Bob Fleming I got a mix of clips up on you tube and spent an hour laughing (and coughing ! ) last night.Great reminiscing with unlucky Alf,Jessie's tips, suits you, etc.Saw the jazz club one you mentioned - nice !
Might have a look for Harry and Paul series tonight : )
In my teens, I always pictured my life similar to Unlucky Alf as I did also experience a lot of unfortunate events, not BI related either but maybe a seagull crapping on my head haha is one.
"Ooooh, bugger".
Roley Birkin Q.C was another I liked.
"I'm afraid I was very... Very drunk".
And not forgetting Dave Angel: Eco warrior whose character was based on Mike Reid from Eastenders.
I am known to have a good memory. The volunteering I do on Friday mornings, I can remember everyone's orders... Unless they decide to be contreversial and have a tea instead ofa coffee :). It's a pretty big group at times as well.
This reminds me of another sketch- the two Ronnies where Ronnie Barker keeps trying to order drinks for his group at the bar and has a drink each time in between going back to the group to confirm their orders.Ends up totally sloshed and mixes all the drink names up with the guests descriptions-pink lady, shorts, etc. This is how it would end up for me ! : )
'Tis a baddon this one, Matt .Been off sick in bed for 2 days, myself ,totally floored .Still struggling with chest and head now back at work. It's the gift that keeps on giving : (
I've got to say, this is one hell of a cough/cold. Usually, a turmeric and ginger tea with a bit of honey would do the trick, this time it hasn't really touched it. I actually had to resort to the chemist. Jakeman's cough sweets, Covonia cough medicine, some Lemsip's and Night nurse.
Coughs and colds are nothing to be 'sniffed at'. The bug that seems to be doing the rounds at the moment is a corker. Took me over two weeks to feel better but was still coughing for weeks after!
Must be all that talcum from the dance floor boogie night.
I was told that it's better to lay propped up when sleeping, and certainly worked for me, then I was told no you must lay totally flat, no pillow, tried that and that worked too. So guess what ever makes it better do it.
Steam baths are good for breaking the crud up and loosening enough to get rid of.
I haven't looked at your latest caricature but with all that coughing and sneezing I hope it's not too shaky.
Take care Matt, it's good to hear you're feeling a bit better and hope it won't be long before you're boogieing again.
Definitely menthol crystals and not crystal meth haha.
I'm glad you like my work :).
Most rubbish can be sold as art now, it is like people do not know what proper art is. Andy Warhol got away with it haha.
Some people can sell paintings for thousands and all it is is a big splat. It might look more like something I coughed up haha.
Actually there is a guy I know at my local Headway and he is also a fan of my work. One day I got my folder out and he said to me "What have I been scribbling this time?" And he said something after like "well, you could hardly call it scribbling" but I was thinking that I do scribble, I scribble with style :).
My latest profile pic looks to me like a human caricature of myself :).
