Just to let you know, today was the big day of my results to tell me whether the radiotherapy had done any good or not...to be honest I have been so busy looking after my beautiful grandchildren that I haven't had much time to get hett up or worry too much, so I arrived as cool as a cucumber at the hospital, then reality kicked in while sitting in the waiting room and my mind started working overtime, what if they said I had another few tumours growing, (as this is quite a common thing for my type of tumour), what if it was still growing, etc etc....anyhow as soon as I was taken they said that the tumour had started shrinking and it had shrunk by 2mm at one side and 4mm at the other and they were pleased with that! I am so happy, I can't describe what hearing that news felt like but let's say I could've kissed the doctor! Haha! So it's off to Paris for a few nights with my husband who is also so badly needing a break! They did say my neck however was a bit of a problem with arthritis, a prolapsed disc etc etc and that could be what causes me to feel a little numb in places sometimes but there's nothing they would do about it unless it got much worse! Many thanks to you all for always being there for me! I hope you are all doing fine and I'll catch up with all the news as soon as I have a minute! Much love and thanks again! xx

Pair of witches maybe, haha!!! (joking obviously). Thank you! We are both shattered and it's an early start tomorrow so going to bed. Yes you're right, it's been a blooming long haul...this has all been going on for nearly five years!! Anyway thank god for today's results, I may have to see them in August again but they may leave me for a year...it's like winning a ticket to relax for a year...I know I'll still get my niggly annoying problems that I've been left with but hey ho, I'm here to tell the tale and i'll just rest when I need to and take meds when I need to! Hope you are well.
Talk soon.
xx

Great stuff! I'm delighted for you.
Is it standard practice to go to Paris if you have good news? I must inform my wife...
Andy
Thank you mister! No not standard practice at all, haha but we have not been able to spend much time together over the past while, what with my tumour and treatment etc and my husband studying after work every evening, plus he works away; it's been a real crazy few years to say the least but the studying is over now...just waiting on his results, so we thought we would do something a little special! You could inform your wife otherwise tho! Hope you're well! xx

Yes I was already there Random, it was lovely thanks but oh I'm exhausted now, I've never walked so far in a long time! Lots of memories made tho...oh and I actually climbed all the way up Notre Dame to see the bells, (thought I was going to pass out at the top tho) but what a great time we had! Hope you are well. xx
Lovely to get such good news. Congratulations.
Thank you exhaustedwife, I honestly didn't know what to expect, I just kept thinking well there's no point in stressing myself worrying about what the results may or may not be as that won't help at all! Best wishes to you! xx
