I've never liked Christmas much as a adult, tell I lie I enjoyed last years one, what I remember any how!

But is was lovely spending time with my wife, even if can't remeber it but I remember feeling looked after and loved and safe.

I thought I might be right. My Mum does most of her shopping there. I go in there sometimes. I like their T-shirts and shorts but the problem is, their T-shirs are like muscle shirts, I hate wearing muscle shirts sometimes, I prefer baggy clothing. Or as 'Madness' would say "Baggy trousers" :).

And most of there shorts have the velcro fly on them, I dont like that.

I'm a right fuss pot :).

I am forever altering clothing, cutting away bits of crap that shouldn't be there :).

I like the Christmas combo, Emma :). Very festive and I like the Christmas pudding hat :). Does the carrot on your jumper stick out? It looks like it.

Emma, did you say you were feeling more of a Grinch than festive?

How dare you! Haha :).

Yes Matt

I'm not digging it at all this year!

It's just salt in an open wound this year especially (obvs my accident was 6 months ago)

I can't even manage spending more than a few hours with my family before IT gets too much !

I've got three beautiful but very noisy nephews of 3,5 and 9 but I can only spend mins with them !

Good to see you with your collar off - what amount of time are you managing now?? x

Hi caroline

I'm managing an average 4-5 hours when I'm at home including being unsupported (standing/sat/careful bending)

It is very very painful at times but only to be expected! I'm managing to take myself through basic ROM exercises (flex/extn/retraction/rotation & lateral flexion) I can't afford to wait until my neuro spinal surgeon appt comes through (which will be in the new year is imagine) and tgen wait for him to refer me for physio

Figured I might as well get on with it and its what I did for a living before accident! just going to go careful !

How are you holding up? I thought of you whilst I was wrapping (I know it's been hard with your little boy!)

That's really good Emma that you have been able to gradually build up to 4-5 hrs of collar free time at home. Sounds like you have a good programme of neck exercises planned by your clever self! But don't go ignoring your own sensible advice of doing things carefully.

I know the feeling oooh too well of waiting and waiting for apts and things to happen in the NHS and like you often decide the only way is the 'do it yourself' way! My G.P's even recognise how I have been let down and passed from service to service with each doing nowt as think it's someone else's responsibility!

Am managing things a bit better now thanks as some things sorted and others I have now put off until the New Year eg Social Care and psychotherapy apts. have also taken up the adoption SW's offer to help at my sons birthday party.

Caroline

Full of Christmas spirit Emma - lovely :)

You're not supposed to wrap up your hair haha.

I hate it hwen you cant find the end of the sellotape. My mum has got this idea of putting a paper clip to mark the end of the tape when not in use.
