Christmas Day

Gee! Yesterday I ended up feeling so weak and shaky, I could hardly talk. I think I overdid it. I stood for too long, and did not relax on a comfy chair. Then I made 4 pints of brandy sauce! At least my family were together for the first time in 10 years. My 2 brothers, my sister and my mum and dad! (Not including all the other offspring.). There were 13 of us altogether!

This morning I am feeling much better, but will just take it easy I think!

I GOT SO STRESSED OUT I HAD QUITE A BAD FIT SO IT'S THE COMFT CHAIR & A DAY UNDER THE CUVET FOR ME TODAY. THERE MUST BE A RUBBISH FILM ON THE TELLY I CAN WATCH!

  • Thanks so much. I am sure you will find a nice programme to watch. Relax and enjoy! X

  • Hi Nutkin

Pleased that this xmas brought 13 of your family and offspring altogether. I know you will have been missing your sons though still in South Africa that were unable to join you. Guess you did get some enjoyment from it even though it exhausted you to the point of feeling weak, shaky and unable to speak very well. It is at times like this that we have to push ourselves beyond our limits but then pay for it for day(s) after! Glad you are feeling a bit better this morning but you are wise in saying you will be taking it easy.

    Best wishes

  • Thanks so much. My sons were together in Johannesburg, and they Skyped my family and I! It was hard not to cry, I must say!

  • At least with technology these days you can involve everyone and speak and see. That's some comfort that your sons were together. Yes I can understand how it would have been very emotional for you especially As i think I correctly remember, your life was with you altogether in South Africa, until your accident forced you to leave them and return here. I guess you wish you were still there. xx

  • That's correct. I must say I often think about life with them over there, but I would receive no benefits at all, so I am better off here. After all, I was born here!

  • That was such a hard and emotionally devasting decision to have to make but clearly what you had to do. Do you get to see them very often?

  • I went over in September, and will hopefully go over again some time next year!

  • That's good that you are able to manage the travelling and hopefully they also come and visit you here sometimes. x

  • Yes. Hopefully they will get over here! Xx

  • Thanks so much!
