The anti-ttg test is more sensitive, the EMA test is more specific.
The antittg can be positive before the EMA. When EMA test positive it correlates to the amount of gut damage. Basically the antibodies tend to be positive only when significant damage. This test specific to coeliac disease. The ttg suggestive of coeliac disease.
