Hi there, this has come up before so I'd read the reply from NorhternSoul (Sarah) a medical student and a coeliac and I'd follow her advice and discuss what to do next with your GP, please see:

In my opinion the main thing is a diagnosis has been made so you're in the system and will be monitored there is also a HU site for hyperthyroidism: healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk

And good luck.

Raised TPO antibodies indicate autoimmune thyroid disease (AITD) also often called Hashimoto's Thyroid Disease. However the number, 250, alone is insufficient, you need to quote the range too e.g. I was diagnosed when mine was 258 iu/mL (0-59). You can get this information from your GP/surgery.

There is a vast amount of helpful information on the Thyroid UK website, a sister site to this one under Health Unlocked. If you post your results there, including T3, T4 and TSH if you have it, you will get a lot of good advice.
