I'm new here and need some understanding of Alligosis please. Have a lgG aspergillus elevation of 144(with hospital normal range for the lab of >40.) This was diagnosed early in 2015 but there has been no treatment started only a holding dose of 800 IU of vit D3. Any idea what I can do myself. Thanks for any help you can give.

High IgG for aspergillus can mean an infection but that is not the only interpretation and may not even be the most common interpretation depending on what else you are being treated for. Only your doctor can access all of your medical history and make an informed decision so it is best if you return to the team that carried out the test to air your concerns - in particular discuss your fears about an Aspergillus infection.
If you are in the UK and after consultation you are still worried you can ask for a referral to a respiratory illness specialist centre close to you or the National Aspergillosis Centre (nationalaspergillosiscentre... which is an NHS funded specialist centre in Manchester.
I know this is partially relevent. I have a 7 stage Hepa14 air filter I use. We all probably have one. Mine has a metal grate (electrostatic). I noticed a sickly sweet smell in my small room when it was running but no pollution light. I cleaned my entire room out, found some mold but its still there. cleaned the carpets.. still there. Finally it hit me one night (Watching TV).. OZONE. I disabled the plate by removing a terminal and using tape to isolate the remaining one. PRESTO no more smell. Asthma symptoms vanished. The Oedema is settling down, the chronic fatigue is settling down. Its amazing. Do some google searching on "what does ozone smell like" etc and if you have a negative ion generator or a plate in your air purifier.. disable it. Last night for the first time in 6 months I accidently slept with no CPAP. The hose unclipped from my mask. Anyway, its not aspergillus related directly but that is WHY I had the air purifier.
Although I have never used an ioniser even though people were suggesting I did - not medical professionals I must add, I do have a dehumidifier I live in an old converted barn with 3ft thick walls which can hold damp and cause mould and this helps a great deal. This dehumidifier does have an ioniser button on it. I asked a BLF nurse about using it when I was in the process of being diagnosed with Aspergillosis and she said never on any account use an ioniser if you have a lung condition.
