Help needed for a 6 month old
It is very unlikely a healthy six month old baby would get an aspergillosis. This is probably a bacterial infection and/or an allergy especially if the home is damp with obvious mould growth on the walls.
If the house is damp you need to trace the cause (usually poor ventilation contributes but also poor airflow, lack of heating are common contributors - consequently opening windows can be inadequate) and take action to ensure the home is dry.
Hi my Mum always dried the washing in the living room. I have always had a bad chest. I always felt ill when she did this. But only realized as i got older that it was damp washing in the room what made me feel un well. Its not good at for anyone with a weak chest.
Just thought him being 6 months old he might not have any tolerance to it because they hear him breathe and thats it
maybe get a dehumidifier , stops any mould growing ,and filter the air quite a bit , washing dries quite quick. i have two in my house it has helped me .hope the baby is better soon .
Your grandson being repeatedly in and out of hospital due to chest infections suggests that his immune system and/or exposure to infectious agents is not normal.
Living in a water damaged environment in which mould has grown and become established is one potential explanation. Under certain conditions eg drying out, some moulds can produce metabolites including Mycotoxins that can adversely affect immune systems including immune suppression.
A baby's immune system is not fully developed and their immune systems and small organs (eg lungs, kidneys, liver and skin) would be under a lot more stress ,vs an adult, processing any environmental toxins and particulates they are exposed to.
Whether this is the cause of your grandsons repeated infections I don't know .
If is it feasible for your grandson to temporarily move to a house where you are sure there is no mould/water damage?
Many people adversely affected by mould feel a lot better when they move to a mould free environment ; sometimes they feel improvement after a few hours , other takes weeks and months dependant on their history Inc exposure etc.; we're all different/unique in many ways Inc reaction(s) to Water Damaged environments.
Hope this helps
Yes, I believe it is the dampness that is making him sick, my baby got pneumonia when I used a humidifier in our apt. He was hospitalized for a week. I hope they can keep him in a dry atmosphere so he can heal. I will be praying for the baby.
