My husband is struggling with breathlessness on walking short distances. Has anyone else with this condition applied for a blue badge with success?
Also does anyone taking itraconazole anti fungal suffer with intense itching of the skin?
Many thanks

I found the intense itching faded after 6 months but it was a real nuisance until then - .using Aveeno cream helped the itch settle.
Still taking the meds but now not so much skin irritation .
Go to your GP and ask about applying for a blue badge. If your husband is that bad I am sure there would be no problem.
Thank you I will mention it when we next go. He is very breathless and dizzy and also has osteoarthritis of the spine which causes him great discomfort when walking. If he had a badge it would help immensely with parking closer to the hospital on appointments too, he is usually totally wiped out by the time we get to the part of the hospital he needs to be in.
My other half has a badgeI am going to ask him about paperwork for the badge when you first get one as it may help if the Doc has this before your next visit or worth asking his receptionist to wort stuff out before hand.

Hi,
Just asked him about it and apparently here where we live, you get forms from your local council and take them to your GP. You can ask the council to send them to your GP or get them yourself and take them with you. The other half thinks it is better to get the paperwork and forms yourself and then take them with you to the Docs - that way there is less to go wrong and less likely to get lost.
Hope this helps.

Mobility is certainly one of the criteria but you may need a diagnosed medical reason to qualify - see the following links
What is a blue badge?
When I take my Moms clothes off of her, white flakes fly everywhere. I started to lotion her up everytime I give her a shower. It seems to be helping. When she was hospitalized, the Dr looked in her mouth and her mouth was covered with white bumps I believe it's called thrush. They said it was from the aspergillosis...they took care of it right there and then. She hasn't had it since but she does continue to have the white flakes from time to time. Seems to come and go.
