UPDATE: I had endoscopy for nausea, bloating and cramping for two months. I was very nervous and my heart rate sped up when they wheeled me in, luckily the propofol sedative knocked me out quickly and completely, I didn’t even feel myself drift off, just next second woke up in the recovery room. Didn’t feel the passage of time and woke up as if from a nap. And I didn’t have an irregular heartbeat and didn’t get a flare from my symptoms, just a sore throat, so I was happy. The doc said my stomach was normal, so I’m going to have a gastric emptying scan next to see if it’s gastroparesis. He also said I was anemic, so I need iron. Today my throat is better but I have a lot of gas and diarrhea, either from the sedative or the iron pill I took last night. Thank goodness I didn’t get a bad reaction to the propofol. Good luck to those who have an upcoming endoscopy.

Update on endoscopy
I'm glad it's over for you. I'm regularly down on iron levels, plus regular B12 injections, I don't think they are related. I just think being a diabetic you don't process food properly. Hope further tests resolve problem. Take care. Moni
Thank you. I had another nausea and cramp attack last night, even after having the endoscopy they still don’t know what’s wrong because the stomach looks normal. Isn’t that how it always is with us. We suffer and the tests won’t show that and the docs can’t help. FND sucks but at least no structural damage.
Well, I just had endoscopy and colonoscopy, they removed small polyp and did couple of biopsies, but otherwise all good. Your post prepared me for this to happen. Where to now? Put up with constant pain along with my other symptoms. Don't know where I'm at. Just so tired. Frustrated. Hope you are coping. Take care. Moni
I’m glad it went ok
Thank you for your reply, it has made me feel much better, although i have always said that it would take a a very strong sed to knock me out so hope that is so as have got mine 2morrow at 10.45, hubbie cannot come with me so will be biteing my nails on my own!-just have to be strong i suppose-eekkkkk!
