FND , Covid and Covid vaccine

I was wondering if there are any people who had covid or had the covid vaccine and if it negatively influenced their FND?

We live in the UK and they are now starting to vaccinate teens. I have read stories on another forum about the vaccine triggering episodes for young adults with FND but was wondering if having Covid would do the same?

Any stories you would like to share about having FND and Covid or having FND and the vaccine positive and negative would be very much appreciated to inform this FND mum.

I had Covid and to be frank, it was almost no different from some of the winter colds I've had that lingered for a month except I recovered in 3 weeks. That's a shorter length of time for me to be sick as opposed to the normal 5-6 weeks.

Hi I’m double vaccinated and wouldn’t hesitate having the booster. I have fibromyalgia and fnd the first vaccine no side effects whatsoever the second very mild symptoms nothing to write home about.

I'm double vaccinated and I'm glad I did it. Had some side effects, but they were brief and no worse than mild flu symptoms. Made no difference either way to my FND. Hope this helps.

I had two covid vaccinations. It did trigger fnd symptoms for a short time (came on a few weeks after first shot), but to be honest it was more like the last straw. I was working too many hours at the time. And with that wake up call I'm now in a better place working more reasonable hours in a job that suits my strength profile and sensitivities working from home.

For my booster I plan to leave a decent gap from having flu shot say 6 weeks instead of 4. I also will take book time off work in advance so I can more relaxed pace for 2 weeks after the vaccination.

I’m fully vaccinated and it did trigger worsening of my fnd both times, for around a week and a half each time (a little less the first time around). Also had a bunch of other side effects, covid arm was probably the worst of it all, pretty painful. I feel confident enough that if I get a covid breakthrough at this point it would be more mild, and would wait a bit/possibly not do a booster.

I'm double vexed (FND & CFS) so is my 17 year old son who has CFS. We both felt mildly groggy for about 24 hours after the 2nd jab, but otherwise fine. By comparison, we both recently had a cold which everyone else in our family had for few days, but we were both ill for 2 weeks. We always get iller and for longer, so we have been careful to minimize risk of getting Covid. We will both gratefully accept boosters if offered.
