Mood swings and FND

Hey everybody, you are all amazing and I'm so glad you're all here and telling your story with others so we can better understand. I've been wondering if FND ever causes mood swings for you guys. I notice that my mood changes so I could be depressed for a few hours and then a little after those hours pass I will feel kind of better. Also my loved ones notice I can be snappy at them sometimes mainly because I'm in pain but I'm wondering if this is mood swings and if it's caused by FND because when it happens I feel bad about myself and feel like something's wrong with me. Does anybody else experience this too?

I would speak to a female G.P. As I’m wondering if it’s your hormones causing you issues are you on the pill for instance not everything is down to FND but pain can make your intolerance much less and frustration when your young and your life is being restricted. I hope you get to the bottom of what’s going on.

Yeah I have talked to them about a year ago about it and they said it's because of all stress going on in my life which I believe because of school and everything and I also have depression and anxiety so I think that also causes mood swings. Thank you for replying and giving advice I appreciate it.

Hi , yes my mood swings are the same as yourself 😣, I am at the age were I needed HRT patches , these have helped a lot 👍

Hello VR053, I speak from a male perspective.

I do have mood swings. They aren't as frequent as yours are. Mine go from day to day to day. Also so do my symptoms, pain, and everything else.
