New Cancer spots

Been having pain in the back of the head since July, seen the GP several times about it, during August it started getting worse, attended for MRI scan on head and neck October 9th. An urgent meeting with Oncologist was arranged after our daughter chased it up, we met 23rd Oct when he broke the bad news, I had 5 cancer spots at the base of the skull, one was attached to muscle and was the cause of the pain, that was Monday, on wed 25th the Radiotherapy treatment started, 5 sessions booked and completed 30th Oct. I have had a second MRI scan on the rest of the spine, so it is waiting time now for results. It is thought this new cancer is from the bladder cancer from last year. God bless you all dear friends.

So sorry to read about the cancer spots on the base of your skull. I do hope the MRI on the rest of your spine is clear.

Take care and best wishes

Got results of scan yesterday and the news was not good, more spots detrcted on the spine. I am being monitored now until the next CT scan due 24th Nov. Currently the pain relief is holding the head pain. Listed as terminally ill with 11 months ahead. But my faith will carry me beyond that. God bless.

So sorry to hear you are having further problems and I hope they can sort it for you. I had 2 tumours removed from my bladder in March this year and last week I found a new cancer spot on my back. I have been referred to the dermatology clinic but am now concerned that there might be a link.

Keep your chin up and have faith.

So sorry to hear your news. This is exactly what worries and scares me. I have had the 'all clear for a while now but I can't help thinking it may rear it's ugly head again somewhere else. I wish you all the best and do stay strong.

for what it's worth, my surgeon told me that IF those cancer cells from bladder got into blood stream, the cancer would still be bladder cancer and not some other forms of cancer.
