We talked yesterday about bacteria to fight cancer, here is a new approach (of course preclinical still).
We are talking about entering clinical trials within 10 years (I hope the exponential growth of knowledge will accelerate that) but it's really promising:
This new method of culturing antitumor bacteria is important for a few reasons.
First, it offers a safer way to use bacteria in cancer treatment. Second, this method makes the bacteria more effective at killing cancer cells. Third, the method has shown promising results in treating drug-resistant cancers. When tested on mice with drug-resistant breast cancer, the attenuated bacteria led to improved survival rates.
