Which research would I fund?

Hi!

I got an interesting question from one of you guys, and I think it could be an interesting topic for us all. What kind of research would you fund ?(if you could direct your donations, of course)

Short-Term Goals:

- Fund research into drug repurposing, including AI-based systems to accelerate the process (a particularly hot topic lately). This would also involve sponsoring phase 1 clinical trials.

- Support research into drug delivery mechanisms. By improving the targeting of existing drugs (even repurposed ones), the focus could shift to the delivery system rather than redoing the entire clinical trial process for the drug itself. Targeted delivery has the potential to reduce side effects significantly, making existing chemotherapies more effective and less harmful (which means we would have way more effective weapons to use) Some delivery systems already prepared for phase 1 trials can function as chemotherapies or immune stimulants on their own, offering even greater potential.

Long-Term Goals (or Moonshots):

- Invest in research on cancer reversion, a growing area of interest. Recent experiments have shown that this approach can produce predictable, successful outcomes.

What do you think?

Max, this is indeed a difficult question (- otherwise you would have received lots of Feedback 😝).

😂😂 well, since we are all following the development of research (in one way of another) I think we all have something that gives us a good vibration even if we are no experts

In your Newsletter, you present a number of project - „canditdates“. But some of these projects have probably a long, long way to go. In order to be successful, you would need to find experts, who, out of promising projects, select the „low hanging fruits“ for a successful start of your enterprise.

Research into prevention would be good

Well, we already know quite a bit about prevention—although “prevention” is a relative term, given that some men who take impeccable care of themselves still end up with cancer. If anything, this would be more of an awareness campaign than actual research. One critical area that remains underemphasized, however, is the immense value of having a germline genetic profile!

I would invest in affordable at home testing including real time monitoring of specific biomarkers.

I find that if many households had testing themselves a lot of early detection could be achieved. Maybe even have a way for patients to share their results with their doctor, or a community of health care professionals.

For example.:

PSA, T, E2, Uric Acid, CBC, CMP, and even vitamin and mineral deficiencies.

well, that could be a good business idea actually, I give you the tests at a very low prices (there is also a very reliable psa test based on urine being developed now), but you read the test with a phone app that shares that data (anonymously). This could create some interesting research.

yes i agree but also a more affordable at home analyzer for urine, blood pric, saliva or breath.

I am sure we are heading there but we may get pushback from the medical equipment and hospital industry. They make money off of in person visits That would be a short sited attitude because if one thinks about how many people never go to the doctor until it’s to late one would draw the conclusion if more people tested then we would have more people visiting the doctor.
