no, you need to ask to be put in the support group, i was put into the wrong group and didnt realise that i could only get it for a year, when that ran out they stoped my money and thanks to a very nice girl for the DWP who helped me i appealed and asked for a reconsideration to be put into the support group which i eventually got and my money back dated, so good luck

Thanks for the reply. I have a letter from my clinical psychologist stating iam not ready to start looking for work and my solicitor is going to write a letter on my behalf as well. I hope this does it.

More info please, you appealed against what exactly, to get ESA or to be placed in SG?

I appealed for my ESA to be reinstated which i won, but they have put me the WRAG when previously i was in the support group.

Right, now you need to submit another appeal to get from WRAG to SG.

Will this go through the whole tribunal process again or is it an internal matter regarding the DWP.

A DM might reconsider the decision to put you in WRAG, if not, it will go to tribunal for a decision.

Im sorry for being ignorant but i dont know what a DM is.

Decision Maker, that's what they call the bods at the DWP who have the power to act on behalf of the Secretary of State.

Thanks for your swift response. Fingers crossed i wont have to go to tribunal again as i have already lost 12 months of my life to them.

Your welcome, it was a DM that put you in WRAG, fingers crossed, a DM will reverse that decision, saving you and them a lot of time.

Hi

I used to work as an Appeal Rep for the Cab before I became ill please be aware you can lose an award if the tribunal reassess your claim it does happen

If you have recently applied for esa again but the tribunal was heard in relation to your previous app then yes this is possible to happen
