I think I have fibromyalgia.

I have pain in muscles and tendons most of the time; particularly middle and lower back, legs, ankles, hip, shoulder, hands. Also darting stabs of pain, and constant restlesness sudden itching. A few times I have had sudden muscle weakness in arm or leg. The pain is worse when I stop moving, rest and then try to get up. Also when I turn over in the night. I am finding it hard t op tackle tasks and am probably functioning at about 40% of what I could drive years ago. I seem tense; and have raging tinnitus! Do you think I may have fibromyalgia? How can I find out if I have 2 years ago I thought I was just stiff and unfit ( I used to be a tennis coach. But the more I walk the more pain I endure! I am pretty much exhaustedby driving or doing the shopping.

please get a referral to ur doc or rhematology consultant. There 18 special pressure points in the body and all are tendor on touch, Somw -may say you need 11 to 18 sore pressure pointe to be confirmed with fibromyalgia. good luck and speak soon

As Mrs Valentine as mentioned you should consider going to you GP and ask for a Rheumatology referral. Fibromyalgia is usually considered as a possible diagnosis after performing tests to exclude other conditions which could present with similar symptoms.
