I bought myself a new mattress topper. It is pure duck down, is 7cm deep and is pure luxury. For the first time in a long time I woke up feeling like I had a good sleep. Then when I got out of bed I wasn't as stiff as I usually am. I was able to get to the toilet without staggering, I was still slow, but nothing like I have been. I would recommend the best you can afford. It is cheaper than buying a new mattress. I got mine through Duvet and Pillow Warehouse.

That's a good tip, Millypeede.
I have been considering a memory foam mattress, but a topper might be a good, slightly less expensive alternative. Going to have a look right now!

Hi Milly, I'm so pleased you have found something that helps give you a better nights sleep. I found a memory foam which wasn't great, but then invested in a much higher quality memory foam topper and rather like you, I had one or two nights of really much better sleep. I can only imagine that my body got used to the memory foam or the memory foam signed up to the Stop Foggy Getting Any Sleep society !!
Hoping you continue to reap the rewards of your topper .
Enviously! Foggy x
I also invested in a bed costing almost £1000, all singing all dancing memory foam support blah, blah, what a load of tosh. I bought because both hubby and I need the support and cushion aspect, kingsize anti roll edges, it went out of shape so in 3yrs so took advantage of the 5yr guarantee. not the same bed replacement but supposedly same specification, neither have been comfortable I have not had a good nights sleep for approx 3yrs. Been thinking of a new bed but may try this mattress topper tip first, it can't do any harm and it may just save me a little cash.
thinking i g ive it a try, me matress is rubbish, the secret i think is the thickest topper... good tip thank you. x
