I have won my ESA appeal and now they have sent me a new dla form. Will I still get my dla because I won my ESA appeal
dla have really tightened up so there my be a chance it would work like that but its not guarenteed, i was refused and m appealing, good luck, Tink xx
They are two separate benefits one shouldn't affect the other. I personally think its because of the changeover to PIP that people already on dla are getting assesed early before pips starts my son and I both get dla his form arrived early November 6 months before renewal date and I was told to get it back in quickly, I did and he has been re awarded same amount indefinitely. I am filling in my renewal now and it says get back to us before April though I am entitled until June

Thank you mine isn't up for review till aug 2014 so am a bit like what's going on here .
Mine's due in June too. Thanks for the warning.
as very grumpy said they are two different benefits and the likely hood is you will be turned down on first attempt. Not because you did any thing wrong it just the way it works. I work for a charity and we are always going to tribunal or appealing. Its really important not to give up hope and to appeal and go to a tribunal so you can demonstrate how your health affects you. if your gp is not suppportive dont get a letter from them. think of someone who knows you and had empathy or is more specialised e.g consultant.Tell them what you want from a supportive letter dont just ask them to write you one. i hope dont sound harsh, im on my lunch beak so having to reply quickly. For the record, I am at the stage where I myself am applying for DLA lets hope we have good news soon. kind regards xx
Thank you for your time I hope we get good news soon and they change the system so disabled people are not treated so bad
I hope it goes well for you I have never had to appeal for dla , I just applied firstly for my son , then for my self and we were both awarded dla without appeal, that's why I always encourage people who are ill and need help to apply
Fingers crossed

If at first you don't succeed try try again. Excerpt taken from Robert the Bruce's guide to claiming benefits.
Thank you . I intend to appeal if I have to. I did it for my ESA and it wasn't a very good feeling. It's degrading but must be done
