Yes, I should have attended one on 29th November. It wasn't local, I couldn't drive there & back without pain in my arms neck and shoulders. To go by train meant a long walk from the station. On the day, I got up to get ready, but was in a lot of pain and my hips locked whilst trying to get downstairs. I phoned my advisor in tears and explained the situation. She told me to call the place where I should be attending, but I couldn't get through. I called my advisor again, and said how worried I was that my benefits would stop if I didn't go. She told me that she would call the centre, to advise I wouldn't be attending. Then she told me that only she could sanction my benefits and as I had a genuine reason for not attending, she would not impose sanctions. I haven't heard anything since, and my payments continue the same as before. So I am keeping my head down and not asking any questions.

Good luck

Em
