After 6 months off work, I will finely be returning mid January. I suffered a bit of a break down which turned me into a bit of a monster. I am excited to be going back to work, and I am feeling better than I have in a couple of years. The problem is that I still have Fibro, and Dercum's disease, and an underactive thyroid. They haven't gone away and I know that when I return to work, my colleagues will be watching me and avoiding sensitive issues in case it 'sets me off again'. Just have to keep my head down and not allow myself to get stressed out again which was really the cause of my breakdown. Wish me luck everyone.
Happy 2013 to you all, and gentle hugs all round x

Happy 2013 toy ou too, yours seems to be getting off to a good start in the fact you are returning to work. My GP says I will never work again due to other ongoing illnesses I have. But I know if I could work I certainly would. So I wish you well and I look forward to hearing how your return to work goes. And don't be keeping your head down, just be YOU xxxxx
Good luck in going back to work and don't forget to pace yourself. I work fulltime as an early years practitioner in a reception class and love what I do. I have good days and bad days. Most days when I come in from work at 4.30 I have to go and rest for an hour or two. Then I get up when the pain has gone. Spend time with my husband then back to bed at about 10 o'clock. My hubby does the shopping and cooking which is fantastic but he knows I couldn't do everything and go to work. We normally manage a night out every oyhrt weekend if I'm OK. You have to do what works for you and your family.
All the best and think positive and pace yourself. Xx
