Back pay? How far back does it go?

As I understand it from all the information I have read tonight, disability benefit payments do not get backdated. Working Tax Credits and Child Tax Credits can be backdated but there is no information on backdating disability benefits.

Does anyone know differently?!

i was told only by mouth of some one not claiming possibly 3 months! well i better get cracking on that papeer work as the ones we filled in have gone by their fillin in by date now booohooo

Please don't rely on this info Caroline, especially if the person telling you wasn't claiming any benefit. I wouldn't want you to get your hopes up and then not receive anything. xxx
