Hi all , after reading my medical report there are some points I'd like to share for these of you who are about to go for it. Please note you are been observed as soon as you enter the building. Do not use stairs as this will be used against you. Make sure you use walking sticks two if you have them. Try not to make eye contact at any point, In the assessment I will be asked yo take your coat off. Don't do this unless you ask them to help to do so. This is a ply and again used against you as will prove you can dress and undress yourself. You will also be asked to do walk to a bed to do some limb movements. Do not let go of the bed when asked to stand remember to use your sticks and always use the one while doing limb movements as if you do any movements unaided you prove you have good balance . Also remember about eye contact this is been watched at all times and will show you understand and have good concentration.your appearance will also be noted.ie,neat hair shaven clean or ironed clothes are all noted.then the questions watch how you answer them and remember what you answer to each one as if you have to appeal these will be on record. There a afew trick ones. Like cam u make a cup of tea a sandwich or a snack if there wasn't anyone around. Can you control your own money issues .ie. banking paying bills. Don't leave any room for any slip ups as they won't . I know how this will make you feel but this is what happens and used against you.If you fail or get no points and have to appeal. They don't seem to understand what fibromyalgia is about and I can say none of the medical I'd to do with our condition . If any one wants help in this issue I can only go of my medical report.

their ways of looking at disablement are pathetic. One guy can stand and make tea but may not be able to walk further than his front door. What have mental issues and controlling our accounts got todo with anything. It is none of their bussiness .

Good morning andiandflo1

I had my DLA medical on Tuesday in my own home,I never asked them to come to my home,I think I did do a lot of what you said in being careful,I have read of so many stories of what they do,he asked me to go up stairs and do some movements on the bed,at one point I did look up and he was looking at all the things on my dressing table, mentally taking in what creams were there, then he asked if he could wash his hands whilst I got up off the bed,it was very quiet and the bathroom is next to my bedroom at an angle,he did not wash his hands and I was very much aware he was watching me through the crack in the door! Sneaky or what!

I have no idea how I got on,will just av to wait an see,but you are right in what you say..they watch absolutely every thing you do...xx

Maybe we should all go to our local churches and seek sanctuary from government snooping! Be interesting to see every church filled with the sick and disabled. Newspapers would have a field day!

Perhaps that's what they want! Pre-reformation and workhouses the church looked after the sick and possibly disabled also.

Absolutley cat perhaps the clergy could also help as most of us are at our wits end. Xxx
