I've been prescribed a very short time ago, duloxetine. Now at the miniute I use zoplicone to sleep at night with the pain. Now the early symptoms of duloxetine 60mg is keeping me up all night, generally feeling strange like there's electric running through my body and my jaw is always so clenched. Since taking duloxetine I havnt taken zoplicone to get to sleep in case there's a major reactions. Tried searching the internet havnt found anything. So basically I'm trying to search for someone that's taken both these meds at the same time or some hours apart
Any advice would be much appreciated
Thanks steven

healthunlocked.com/fibromya..., hello there, has the doctor put you on both of these meds together? I’m on 60mg of duloxtene but sleeping okay (the duloxetene has a sedative in it so that’s why I’m wondering about the 2 together, nothing worse than wanting to go to sleep and the pain is keeping you awake, heat helps me, gel to rub in most painful areas , soaking in an expsom baths is another helpful tip. Some people have tried a tens machine ?? I’ve posted a link above if you would like to lock your posts.
Thank you for the reply and yes I was on zoplicone first, and over doing research about the condition and have tried everything else. Even got hooked on dihydrocodine because it took the pain away, but rapidly needed to increase the dose untill i was taking 40 tabs a day. My doctor isn't really a doctor more of a nurse practitioner and knew nothing about duloxetine (she researched it on Google while i was in the doctors appointment). She even started me on 60mg instead of 30mg that most people start on. This is why I'm not sure if to take both in one day. And yes really hot baths help, but the the duloxetine at the moment is making me so hot. I just don't know what to do anymore, this fibromyalgia is the worst thing, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
And sorry forgot to mention the duloxetine is making me so restless at night, it has the opposite effect of a sedative, like I'm on cocaine of something. Does this change after the first couple of weeks?
your right you would not wish this on your own worse enemy, I would differently ring your surgery tonight for some advice, or even 111 if they are closed, my doctor picked up that I had been prescribed zoplicone previously on a prescription before he started the duloxtene and said not to use them both together. I think being hot is a side effect of duloxtene, I do wake up very hot sometimes. For me I settled quite quickly on the duloxtene just seemed to keep me calm and I was started on 60mg as well .
Please check with either your GP or your pharmacist, and DO NOT take both together until you have been either told you can, or advised not to take both together.
Hi I took both of them I don’t sleep every night but they help me better then before Ian under same medication5 years plus morphine pilule and oral plus diazepam and tramadol
Duloxetine keep me calme and zopiclone help me to sleep but not every day and most of the time I sleep 2 until 4 hours
