Hi, just stumbled here and glad to see there are people like me.
Been diagnosed for a year and suffering a really debilitating flare up (my first major one) after having a suspected kidney stone pass last week (although the CT couldn't see any stones we think it passed through and having fibro exacerbated the problem).
I'm usually a busy teacher, high up in my workplace with promotion coming up, and I'm currently flat out, very low, in incredible pain and lost. I'm on pregabalin and on a self titration program with this current,y at 100 a day but they GP will only give me codeine for the pain which makes me very unwell.
All in all, I'm at my wits end!
Sorry for the moan, I'm quite a jolly person usually!

Lol I use an iPad and it's auto correct drives me mad when I try to spell a word it doesn't want to... It's a battle of wills and despite being dropped, trodden and flung across the room when I fell over its certainly putting up a good fight.... Welcome to the site.. As you can see we rant, post useful information and try to help... Or have a good laugh. your first post was very good as I was in tears with mine.... And at once people rallied round to help. It's an easy site and will be even easier when we get the sticky threads HU have promised us... Sorry you are codeine intolerant ... So am I , but because I eventually gave up work I have great night meds and then pace myself during the day cos my only pain relief I can take is paracetamol which is useless so I tend to get through the day slowly
I sadly am the main earner and although my husband works ever hour he can and looks after me, I can't see a time when reducing my hours or giving up work would be feasible as I feel I seem to others to be too 'functional'. Drives me insane as I'm a glutton for punishment really lol.
Thank you for the warm welcome, it really has helped x
