How long does it usually take to get a decision after an assessment with ATOS?

I went for one 5 weeks ago and I haven't heard anything yet.

It varies for each person from what I have seen ...

You didn't say if it was for DLA or ESA as the times vary for each one ...

For the ESA I was put straight into the support group, without a medical or anything and that took about 10 days for mine.

DLA originally took several months as I asked them to look at it again ... that was a long time ago, though... I think it took about 10 months all told ... which I got in back pay ... that was in 1995 when it came through.... so the ground rules have changed since then... I was awarded it indefinitely about 4 years ago...

Also as I say each case is different...

Yes sorry I was sent because I get Incapacity benefit at the moment so I am being sent to see if I am fit for work so it will be for ESA.
