Can anybody tell me please? have the rules changed on DLA? I thought that if you couldnt walk 20mts without being in pain and discomfort they counted this as a mobility issue? But seems now they have shifted the goal posts yet again!

DLA RULES??
I haven't heard of any changes either - I also submitted the pain and discomfort of walking a short distance and that there are days where I would not be able to go out - this was not taken into account at all!
Thanks for that. There are all sort of rumours going around, I was shocked when i knew about it, as I`m jus about to fill my change in circumstances form for my DLA and was very worried. So I will fill in as normal and see what comes back.
I think they have changed it because when I originally applied 3yrs ago it said the same but on my renewal form this year they had worded it all differently. Hence to say that last time I was on high rate Mobility/low rate carer now they have awarded me NO Mobility/low rate carer. It seems you can only get the Mobility component if you can not walk at all not if you can walk a bit even though it is painful to do so.
