I seen that tonight must say i sat there with my mouth wide open in shock looking at my hubby...LOL it was so lovely tho to hear it being mentioned on tv ! x
Darn it I missed it
Wish I'd watched that,I turned over when it started, really annoyed now,it may of had some effect on my partner who realy doesn't understand fibro,I wounder if it will be shown again on another Chanel, hope so
Good job you didn't see House the other night. A man went to see him and said he thought he may have Fibro and house just took the micky. He got some pain killers and then substituted them with sweets. The man went away and later in the show came back for a refill of the medication. I feel this was a parody that says "Its all in our heads". I wish the writer of that line had to suffer like we do.
Its great though that its been mentioned on Surprise Surprise in a more honest and positive way. One day it will be accepted in the same way as other medical problems that are unseen.
Have a good day everyone.
I have only just joined this website as i have only been diagnosed with Fybro in the last year. I was really shocked to hear it mentioned on Surprise Surprise last night ,as this condition never seems to get a mention anywhere. I wish more information was put on the tv, perhaps then it would be understood that just because there is nothing to see on the outside there is nothing wrong with us.
Pinkblossom, if you go onto ITV.com you can watch the prog online. I missed it but will have a look at it now, so glad it was mentioned, millions of others will hopefully understand a little of what we go through every day.
yep i saw surprise surprise last night and my mouth dropped open when i heard the guy say about his wifes fibro
It was also a topic on X Factor last year. One of the lads in one of the boy bands was wearing a fibro support wrist band for a couple of the shows, and I was told it had come up in conversation on the program.
I saw this and was so pleased my hubby was sat in room watching it also, pity rest of family were out, we need to speak out, sadly we don't as a majority think we are just moaning about nothing, if only it was that easy, i would love to be pretending instead of the suffering we all have to endure all the time, sending love and hugs to you all xxx
