any bright ideas how I convince a new GP that I feel absolutely dreadful & am not neurotic or a silly old woman, in no more than 10 minutes? I've lived here for 4 months & have seen 3 different GPs, this one is my last hope! My previous surgery / Gps were brilliant. Fibro is bad enough without unsupportive doctors!

I think GPs are like wines...you have to try a few before you find one that you like! Good luck, we all know how difficult it is to find doctors who have a knowledge of Fibro and the empathy to treat us with the understanding and sympathy that we need. Jane x

thanks Jane. I don't like alcohol these days, so maybe relating them to nice gooey cakes will work better for me. I just hope this one hasn't gone mouldy !!!

hi,have you thought of writing a letter to him/her? they are only human, and nobody special, you wouldnt buy a car without telling the buyer a bit about it! and you can explain that as you are new he needs to know a bit of history about you, that way he can read your letter in stages if nessasary, then when you go to see him he will have a better idea about you...any help? xx
