Hi TJ, this is only my personal opinion and I suggest that you do take yourself off to your GP in the morning, but it looks very similar to the Urticaria rash I experienced earlier in the month. That having been said it could any number of things, so please do get it checked out. In the meantime you could put a cold flannel on it to see if that helps.

Very much hoping you manage to get it properly diagnosed tomorrow and sending lots of healing vibes your way :-)

Hi Tinkerjack1912

I am so sorry to read that you are experiencing this issue, and I agree totally with Foggy. I had Urticaria many years ago due to an undiagnosed latex allergy, so it really should be checked out. The allergic reaction can be to almost anything? From wash powder to soya?

I want to wish you all the best of luck with finding the answers that you so desperately desire and deserve.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi Ken :-)

My recent outburst of urticaria was caused purely by stress and I know dear Tinkerjack has been pretty stressed recently and I hope it is possibly the same for her. A course of antihistamine tablets sorted it out, so if when TJ visits her doctor, that it turns out to be the same as you and I and treated easily :-)

Still sending loads of positive healing vibes :-)

Hi Ken & Foggy, I take antihistamine on a daily basis just one of many pills. I am wondering if it is eczema? I was on a lot of meds for my asthma a while back and my eczema came back full force. My doc isn't in on Mondays but I was already thinking of getting an emergency appointment Tuesday for my legs. Thanks for all the advice much appreciated gentle hugs xx

Hmmm. No need to say see a Doc. Hives will get through quite a lot and as has been said you've been through a heck of a lot lately. I think Urticaria is more a reaction than a condition and easily fired off by stress etc. Doesn't make it any less painful or serious. Good luck

Hi Foggy

Sorry to hear that it is bad enough without getting it because of stress. Mine was in 2007 and I was hospitalised for a week while I was given the anti allergen meds.

Luckily I have never had it since.

Take care

It strange I haven't been touching it but it's now scabbed over and looks like tiny cuts. Got do on Friday so will speak to her about it. X

I agree with Sue. I had severe excema as a child. It looks similar yet not quite. Never had hives so I couldn't even guess. You should definitely see a doctor, though a hospital trip, unless it is unbearable, seems extreme to me. Like was suggested, cold compresses could help. Also, you might consider an OTC cortisone cream to reduce the itching. I can't think of any bad side effects that would have.

Sensitivities and allergies can start up where they have never existed before. It doesn't matter what your age. You may have just the slightest history of sinus allergies, food sensitivity, etc., and those could lead to having a tendency to develop a rash later.

But I am suren ot a doctor, so my opinion is just that: an opinion. I hope you get this cleared up soon.

I want to add that I looked up urticaria and it does look like initial, mild stages. But I would be remiss to say it is one thing or the other. Perhaps it is not necessary to see a doctor, but if it doesn't clear up soon, I would put that appointment on my list.

Thanks for your thought, I did wonder eczema as I had it when I was little and when I was on heavy drugs for asthma about 15 years ago.

I get it in the summer. It's fibro related. Wash with hospital soap with white washcloths and don't use a sponge. I started getting it about 6 years ago. In the winter it's not bad. Hope this helps sweetheart!!! xxx Mitzi
