Relief at last...

Hi all, sorry I've not been around much.

Have been somewhat distracted with a family wedding (utterly charming), a holiday to Italy (humid and a strange mix of good & bad), one of my cats having a nasty accident requiring long surgery surgery and then some surgery for myself on a gynae matter following some intrusive exams and probes.

Been trying (and not succeeding very well) to not get overwhelmed with pain and anxiety while waiting on the results of the second biopsy following my operation a fortnight ago. The results came thru this morning. All clear, thank goodness. A huge sigh of relief! It's the second cancer scare I've had in my lifetime. I really don't want a third, thank you very much!!

On the upside too, my pusscat has recovered well from his injuries. Almost there, but not quite. He wasn't impressed with being grounded for 2 weeks and did manage to escape briefly a couple of times. Trying to get him into the cat carrier for vets visits was liking trying to post an octopus through a letterbox lol. Above is a piccy of the little fella before his 2 dozen stitches came out (he had an argument with the glass in next door's greenhouse and came off worse...)

Meanwhile, there have been some beautiful moonrises and sunrises. We keep inadvertently waking at 5am and so have spent a bit of time stargazing and observing our place in the universe. Last night neither of us got any sleep AT ALL due to my beloved leaving at 5am today for a few days due to commitments. I could not have my sleeping pills as it was a 4am shout, and he was too anxious to get any kip lol. Ho hum...

Sending you all good wishes for a pleasant weekend, and gentle hugs to everyone.

Sammi x

thank you Sandra. 3.5 months of worry I can now put to bed. Just wish I could do the same for the other ailments lol.

Morning Sammy ditto I am so relieved for you over your results what a torrid time you have had. Where did you go in Italy? It is my most favourite place just thinking of it makes me smile:)

hi gins, we went to the Amalfi coast for a family wedding and then stayed on another 10 days further south round the corner where the beaches are endless and the warm water is shallow. Just right for me. Ravello was delightful, but the cobbles and steps a bloody nightmare! I could do with a limoncello right about now after a wander round our local car boot sale!
