I have to say that since I've been taking guaifenesin, I have felt so much better. Started 19 September 2012.

This is interesting as I too have included guaifenesin... it arrived from the states this week... so only early days yet.. Thank you for sharing.. May I ask what symptoms has it relieved or what /how you are feeling better...;-) x

Oh yes please tell us a bit more and Lacey why have you got from the states instead of over here is it hard to get here?

in reply toDevonlady

Hi Devonlady sorry for the late response ~ I havent found any here other than in cough medicine.. and its important to take it in purity.. 600mg tablet form... Its been 9 days so f. ar and I think it will take a while, however for the first week it totally zapped me in pain and fog... maybe a cleansing not sure.. but I am monitoring and its only been the past 1.5 days that I have felt as if there has been a shift in fatique and pain. So interesting if you read Frotbanana's post below.

I also take vit d, 5HTP, VIt c, Methyl B12 and another which i forget at the moment.. ha ha ... I believe we need to put ourselves back into "repair" mode.. as this is what I feel is lacking and we got stuck in non repair or over worked trying to repair if that makes any sense, and so have looked at "holistic" alternatives to "feed" my body and what certain herbs, holistic medications can enhance... Hugs to all x

Hi. I had a rough first 3 days on it. After that my sensitive pain was gone from arms especially. I felt light and energetic. My brain fog cleared up quite well too. Felt so good. After I think about a week I had the pain and tiredness again but not as intense as it used to be. Cleared and had a good five days and then back on the fatigue and pain again. The pain is definitely not as intense and the brain fog is present and sore neck. However, this morning I did 80 sit ups which is amazing coz I've not exercised for years. I also get my quai from the States (Prohealth). I take 300mg in the morning and again in the evening. I am sticking to this.

Wow briliant... I used to do 200 sit ups a day and a gym bunny.. but no more.. and I dont think that I probably will due to other conditions.. however this is so encouraging.. I had a week of intense pain and fog and fatique.. ( see above post) but the past day and a half, its weird I actually can feel it "in my bones" lol.. like Im part of the old me if that makes any sense.. so we will see... but like you I am sticking with it... I take 600mg morning 600mg afternoon and 600g evening... you are allowed 4 tablets per day max... so well within limits and so far no negative side effects.. so not sure if this or the combination.. but am going with the flow.. Good luck and keep in touch x

Thanks for your post. I had a week of being a bit rough but still nothing like before and this week seem to be better again. My brain fog has definitely improved because I am remembering much better and can think fairly well. I hope that you also keep on going coz it is the only logical explanation for this illness and a very logical way to keep it at bay! All the best. x

Ozzygirl64, I understand what you are saying and why you may be dubious but I can honestly say my life has improved. If you read "What your doctor may not tell you about Fibromyalgia" by R. Paul St. Amand you might find it making sense to you. No harm in trying.
