esa appeal
This is a difficult one and it's important to have your GPs support - can you speak to another GP? Or have a word with the Practice Manager first ?
Find a more sympathetic GP
Does the GP say WHY he/she finds you "fit for work"...? If you know why it is felt that you could work then you can at least start to dispute it. Do you have mobility issues with your FM (not that they alone prevent you from working) etc. For example how long is it since you last worked, what did you do for a job that you would now find impossible - all these things can help clarify matters. If you can write down some thoughts about why you would find working difficult you could then make an appointment with this GP to discuss - then if no joy after that perhaps seek another in the same practice. They can really vary even within the same practice!!
Good luck...
the reason your gp probly said your ok for work hes more than likely working on goverments side thou they will obviosly lie nd say they are not,nd even wen you go 4 your appeal the doctor who you see writes the exact opposite of wot you say so youve little or no chance of winning your appeal .theres people i know of who this has been done to including myself nd ive also heard of someone with cancer being declared fit 4 work
Hi SamanthaJayne
Change your GP as soon as possible. You need to find a doctor who will recognise your conditions and the difficulties they present you with. Try another GP within your practice, but if they close ranks then go elsewhere.
Have you seen any consultants or specialists? If so can you get them to support your appeal?
Have you worked until you got too poorly to work and if so will your ex-employer support you?
Do you have a care plan? If not self-refer to Social Services and ask for their support - they will speak to your GP so it would be a good idea to sort him/her out first. A care plan and details of the help you have been given seem to be quite persuasive documents with the DWP.
Have you got a copy of the benefitsand work ESA helpsheet? If not send a private message to Admin asking for the B&W ESA sheet and telling them your email address. I'd sent the message to Lexie, Simon, Lindz and Liberty then one of them is bound to pick it up even on a Sunday!!!!
