Britain under water

I've been stuck in the house for the last 2 days and to be honest looking at the weather I don't think I'm missing an awful lot - but I do hope that none of you have been affected by the flooding

hi Storm its ok here thankyou, are you feeling really bad with your fibro or is it the weather that is keeping you indoors ?. We have had a bit of sunshine here and hardly any rain but forecast for tomorrow. The pictures of the flooding in the media have been awful, it must be so heartbreaking for the people concerned, take care J

Hope it clears up for you, Stormwytch. I also hope the damp doesn't affect you too badly. :)

I'm recovering from my injuries so that's why I'm indoors although think it has affected the fibro. It's quite hard to tell where one ends and the other starts lol. I went to the dentist today tho and got soaked waiting for taxi home. Our house is on a hill so we shouldn't get flooded but I feel for all those who have had their lives turned upside down with the weather

I'm never sure where the fibro ends and other bits and pieces start. Some of the symptoms are similar to the menopause, so I just try to ride it out. Hope you don't feel too bad.

Ok here too, but I have had to dog walk and have been coming home soaked through. Not the best job in weather like this, but I still love it. I hope everyone is keeping dry.

Piggie hugs xxxx

Hi Storm (what an appropriate name for this crazy season lol) belfast too is undergoing a stormy period of weather with flooding, gales and non stop rain. Im thinking of building a bloody big ark to get me back and forth to work and avoid the worse of the down pours :-).

Its actually lashing it down as im writing this and the wind is blowing up a full head off steam my windows are rattling in their frames as they try to withstand the onslaught. Its nights like this that im so thankful for the roof over my head and shudder to think of those who are homeless my thoughts & prayers are with them. Hope your safe snug and dry wherever you are

Hugs Dixie xx

Horrid weather! We had water in the house on the first cloud burst. Thankfully it only came into the hallway. However it has effected the foundations and now I have rising damp, which will be repaired soon....oh the mess! 7walls need to be replastered aggghhhhhhh!

I do notice the damp causing my joints to miss-behave lol and its bad enough getting wet walking the dogs and getting wet OUTSIDE never mind damp indoors!

Oh Storm what injuries have you got? Hope you haven't been swimming down the street! Haha

Keep warm and dry guys, invest in some wellies and raincoat! They are worth their weight in gold this side of the Globe!

Warm hugs all round xxx

Flips I've dislocated my collar bone and bruised my ribs for added effect. Dixie yes it must be awful for the homeless we have a lot of them in the city centre. My OH works for homeless advice I couldn't do it I'd be like "Oh we have a spare room come home with me"

At least we have some reprieve from rain. My friend put on FB that would the angels stop emptying their bath water over the British Isles lol
